City2Surf 2008
This year I was coaxed into competing (well competing is a bit strong, more like walking) in this year’s City2Surf in Sydney. This year’s event is taking place on Sunday August 10th and stretches from Hyde Park in the Sydney CBD and winding it’s way through Double Bay, Rose Bay, Dover Heights and finishing up on Sydney’s greatest beach, Bondi Beach (see full map)
The City2Sury raises money for numerous charities and each team has the chance to choose from a large list of charities to support. Our team chose the Australian Cancer Research Foundation who are significant contributors to the fight against cancer.
Our team is called 007 Huffers (& Puffers) and Slow Meanderers (i forget why there is a 007 there, but there must be a good reason) and is made up of Catherine Gett, Lorraine Fellows, her son and myself.
