HP 2730p initial review

c01501359 On Tuesday I was lucky enough to receive a brand new HP 2370p Elitebook Tablet PC. This will be my primary mobile pc replacing the Dell XT and OQO e2 as my favored mobile companions. The 2730p caught my eye when I say the GottaBeMobile.com Ink Show by Warner Crocker. After seeing the great reviews on 3 things that are major features I need:Inking, Speed & Battery Life and the 2730p has them all!

Here are the specs for my machine

CPU Intel Core 2 Duo Centrino 2 1.86GHz
RAM 4 GB (unit came with 2GB)
HDD 120 GB
Screen size 13inches
Screen resolution 1024x768
Operating System Windows Vista SP1 64bit (shipped with XP Tablet PC Edition and Vista SP1 32bit)
Battery Life 3-4hours
Accessories Docking Station
Additional AC Power adaptor
Restore & Driver DVDs
Roxio Creator 10
InterVideo Win DVD

Over the coming weeks I’ll be upgrading to 8GB RAM (yes 8GB on a laptop!) so I can easily run Virtual Machines for developments and presentations. Over the next week I’ll be testing out as many features as I can and writing a full in-depth review. If you have any specific questions you need answered, please email me or comment on this article
